One thing I look forward to every summer is holidays with my friends. As we are students, we like to keep it good, but on a budget. And living in Europe really does help out, as we can travel anywhere for cheap. However, finding the right places can be a lot more difficult than expected.

After doing some much research for so long, and even going to the places myself, I have come up with the ultimate Young, Dumb & Broke travel guide.

1. Split, Croatia

Split not only provides a great and fascinating city, but also beautiful beaches and excursions. It is a very famous destination for families and young adults, so you are guaranteed to have fun. Split is not necessarily the cheapest place, but compared to other popular tourist hotspots, it’s cheap. You can rent out some ATVs, chill by the beach, tour the city, go snorkeling, study marine life, and take breath taking excursions to caves.

Split is known to have a great nightlife, so if that’s why you wanna go, it’s great for you. Beach clubs, nightclubs, bars, endless choices for your stay. In fact, Split nightlife is typically what is talked about in Croatia. Because of the Ultra Europe festival, the party life has gained lots of popularity. And, if you happen to want to go in July, check out the festival.

2. Paros, Greece

Paros has been gaining lots of popularity from TikTok as a must-visit Greek island. I had the opportunity to visit the island last summer on a girls trip and I have to say, it’s not all talk. Unlike other popular Greek islands, Paros is a vacation spot for locals, which is why you will not find many tourists and the streets are nowhere near as crowded as Mykonos or Santorini per se. There are many activities you can do during the day, like checking out the beach clubs, walking around the city, etc. There are busses that can take you anywhere on the island, and for good price. Also, pretty cheap. Between the shopping and restaurant prices, I was pleasantly surprised.

The nightlife is top notch. Outdoor clubs and beach clubs are the way to go here. You will find many young adults going for the nightlife, so you will see a much younger population at night. Cheap drinks and good vibes is a pretty firm statement for this island. I do hope it doesn’t get too well known so it can remain a calm and local vibe.

3. Algarve, Portugal

This location is top on my travel list. Cheap and full of nightlife, the perfect combo. It has been increasing in popularity because of the discovery of its natural beauty but it is most famous for its beaches. They have picturesque and secluded coves you can easily reach. If beaches are not your thing, all sorts of activities and adventures are at your disposal. From hiking to off-roading adventures. And best news of all, this is said to be the cheapest destination in Europe.

Regarding parties, you can never be bored. Find yourself at a summer beach party, or at one of the festivals. Unlike the other locations, the parties don’t end at a boring beach club. You can attend full moon parties, color parties, and even theme parties. You do not wanna miss out.

What are other cheap and fun locations you love? Let us know in the comments.
